Be A Volunteer
The Kite Festival would not happen without the generous donation of time
and talent of volunteers. We use 200 to 400 volunteers for the event. Volunteers
for the Kite Festival -Enjoy a fun afternoon in the park -Help raise funds
to stop the cycle of child abuse -work at easy tasks. We can train on the
spot; 2 to 4 hour shifts are available We welcome individuals and/or groups
of volunteers no matter how big or small. There are plenty of activities
for both.
Due to the nature of the event and our limited staff numbers, we ask that
volunteers younger than 15 be accompanied by a parent, guardian or sponsor
at all times. Volunteers are asked to work a 3 to 4 hour shift which gives
them time to enjoy the festival sights and goings-on. But you are welcome
to work as long as you like!
Volunteer tasks are easy, easy, easy and can be learned within a few minutes.
Exchange Club members will be working with you and all of us are available
to train and assist you during the event. We also have some special tasks
prepared for Scout troops so please ask about them!
